Hello Beauties,
I have a super easy tutorial for you guys today. It’s seriously easy. I'm turing long jeans in to shorts. You can honestly, do this to any pants that you want. But if the fabric tends to fray, I will probably hem them, or if you want the fraying, distressed look, then go for it! (Plus its less work and it looks cool, so either way works!) I'll shut up now. Enjoy the Tutorial!
Legs off
Materials:
Pair of jeans (or any type of pants you want to cut in to
shorts)
Scissors
Needle and thread (optional)
First take a pair of your old jeans (or a pair of thrifted
jeans or brand new jeans or whatever you feel like cutting in to shorts) and
turn them inside out, then lay them down flat.
Now, take a pair of your old shorts and measure out how much
you want to cut off. (Because mine are
high-waist jeans, I had to line up my shorts by the crotch and not the
waistline) You can also guess, but just
make sure you don’t cut off too much at one time. Cause once it’s cut, it’s cut…there is not
going back…
Al-right, so, enough of that. I just cut about a few inches below my
shorts. I cut one leg off first, then I flipped the shorts over and cut the other leg, using the leg I just cut as a guide.
I tried them and they were still
too long, so I cut some more. Tried them
on and cut some more…
Once the shorts are at your desired length, decide whether
or not you want to cuff them or just leave them be. Put your shorts in to the washing machine and
they’ll have a frayed edge when they come out.
I decided to cuff mine. So, here
is where the needle and thread come in handy.
If you cuff them you want them to stay cuffed, so an easy way of doing
this is to sew the two seams around each leg.

I stopped cutting my jeans because I felt like I was cutting them too short so this is actually a really good idea!
