Shades of Denim OOTD

Hello Beauties,
Here's another OOTD!  I love this outfit because it is casual yet put together.  This outfit is great to go out with friends and grab some food or just to lounge around the house in.  This one features some of my fall fashion staples!

The key to wearing denim on denim is to not be cloaked in one color.  The striped shirt is great because it breaks up the denim in the outfit, so you're not overwhelmed by Denim.  By pairing two different shades of denim such as a light blue and a grey denim, the outfit looks more balanced and put together.

My denim shirt is a must for almost all seasons!  I wear this shirt to death!  It's a great layering piece and is so versatile.  And what I love most about the denim shirt is the story behind it. This shirt was originally my mother's, so it always had that soft worn in feel.  I also feature one of my favorite striped tees, which I wear all the time.  I actually bought the tee from Goodwill.  And the tee is so super soft and the stripes are timeless!  I seriously wear this tee to sleep, to school, to work, and wherever else I am able to.  It's that soft.

In this outfit, I'm also wearing my grey washed skinny jeans from PacSun.  And these jeans are beginning to develop some distressing from all the times I've worn it and thrown it in the washing machine.  But, you know what, the distressing adds character!

For jewelry, I'm wearing a necklace I got from Ashby, which is a great consignment shop in Carytown of RVA!  And this necklace goes with pretty much everything.  I'm not really in to neon, but this necklace is a great start towards stepping a little more out of my comfort zone.  HYPE this look on Lookbook!
