Room Makeover: The Before

Hello Beauties,
I have begun the journey to makeover my room.  (And, by that, I mean I took five minutes out of my day and snapped some pictures of my messy room.)  Here are the pictures.  (Yeah, it's bad.)  So, let's begin the tour of the jungle that is my room.

So, I'll begin the doorway.  There used to be a coat hanger thing over the door that you can no longer see with a pile of winter coats and purses on top.  And to add to the madness, there is a pile of clothes on a stool by the door.  (The stool is like a foot off the ground and the pile of clothes is a good two or three feet above the stool.  Yeah, I know what you're thinking.  And I know it's getting ridiculous.)  The door to the left is the door to my closet.  I will do a post later about cleaning my closet at a later time.  Right now, I just want to focus on my actual room.

And here's a little wall beside my door.  That is an old project I did in High school and it's just been hanging there.

And right by the doorway, there is that awkward wall again.  And beside my desk, you can see another pile of clothes.  (Those are actually clean, but I just got too lazy to pick them up and put them away...)

And now my desk, so can you even find the desk underneath all that junk?  (Yeah, I didn't think so.)

Then, there is my bed.  Ignoring the mess on top of my bed, there are two plastic bins beside my bed.  They act as a storage container and a nightstand.  However, they don't look too pretty.  So, I plan on moving them.

Now there's another awkward corner of my room where the mirror is.  (For those of you that follow my Lookbook, this is where I take my pictures.  And it is also where I do my DIY tutorials.)  It's a rather small corner boxed in by my bed and small armoire.

Moving on to the bookshelves lining the far wall, there is also a lot of junk in front of, in, and beside those bookshelves.  They need a good cleaning.  But I just have too many books.  And I'm a book hoard and I'm never getting rid of them so, I just have to find some way for them to fit.

And as you can tell, my room is quite oddly shaped.  Do you have an oddly shaped room also?  Comment down below and maybe we could trade ideas on how to decorate it!  I would love some more inspiration.  (Right now, my inspiration comes from Pinterest.  And if you don't already, you can follow me on Pinterest.  And you'll get new pins to look at everyday, multiple times a day.)

Well that's it.  It was dangerous.  And you were courageous to brave through it.  Congratulations you made it through my room tour!  Hopefully in a few weeks my room will be an organized and relaxing space.   Until then, I hope to talk to you guys soon and have an awesome day!
