The Remodeling Mood: Room Makeover for under $50

Hello Beauties,
Have you ever felt like once you start changing one thing, you have to change everything?

I just finished changing my blog format and template.  Do you guys like it?  If not, comment below.  Because the most important thing to me is that you guys find my blog easy to maneuver and accessible.  I would love suggestions because I'm still not sure if this is the perfect template for me.
Well, since I have been remodeling my blog.   I've been thinking about remodeling my room also.  I have quite a small room that is cluttered and not something that I'm proud to show people.

Plus, my style has changed quite a bit since I was a  little girl who wanted to be a princess and have everything pink.  So, I am now working with the consequences of this.  I want my room to reflect me now.  And me, now, is not that same pink loving, girly girl I used to be.  I want my room to not only reflect my style but also be functional.  I love DIYs (if you can't tell already).  So, my room has a sewing machine, painting materials, canvases, sketchbooks, crayons, wires, beads, rolls of fabric, and a bunch of other random stuff.  And right now, most of this stuff is just on the floor.  I also have a small closet space and too much clothes.  So, there is no way any of the craft stuff is going to fit.  I have pieces in my closet that I have never worn in years, but yet I think...I might wear it someday...and I keep it.  (This is a bad habit!)  So, I will clean and I will conquer!

To get some ideas on how to utilize all the space in my room, I, like many people, googled it.  But I found that many of these sites say the same thing.  Put up mirrors, utilize vertical space...and etc.  However, my room is oddly shaped.  And due to a canopy bed, my bed is stuck where it is.  (You'll see in a later post what I mean.)  So, the things they suggest we do is not possible in my room.  I will be posting tips and suggestions on how to organize and decorate a small room without moving that much heavy furniture.

If that is not a challenge within itself, I am limiting myself to a $50 dollar budget.  (I'm cringing as I type this.)  Can I do it?  All I can say is that I will try.  I will thrift and I will DIY until I die (maybe not that drastic, but you know what I mean).  So, stay tuned for more thrift hauls and DIYs coming your way!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to talk to you guys soon!
