Hello Beauties,
I have decided to do a new segment. For each season, I will pick three Fashion Staple pieces to feature. I know I'm a little late for summer, so I'll just start with this summer feature and go from there. So, here is one of my favorite pieces. I was actually a little hesitant to wear a romper at 19. I haven't worn a romper since I was about eight years old. I wore rompers all the time. I was a nineties baby and rompers were a thing back then. Jean rompers and colorful scrunchies were the coolest things. But when I grew up, I thought they were childish and reminded me too much of my pigtails. Yes, I had pigtails. I had them in my hair every single day till I was eight years old and realized I can actually go to school with my hair down. I'm not exaggerating my mother put my hair in pigtails every single day. Every morning, she would brush my hair and tie it up. I would get really excited for picture day because she would braid my hair. I felt really fancy having braids in my hair. So, anyway...let's get back to the romper.
Whenever I see a romper in store, I quickly glanced over it and moved on. However, when I was in Urban Outfitters, I fell in love with this light airy floral print romper. It was super girly and I loved it. What girl doesn't dream that she'll have her happy ever after some day?
Well this romper has now become a summer staple in my closet. It is so effortlessly chic because you don't have to match a top or bottom or even accessorize it. The print and the style speaks for itself. This romper features beautiful drapery over the front and has this beautiful watercolor floral pattern. I absolutely love it. Did I mention that I love this romper? Yeah, the skeptic of rompers is finally convinced. This romper in no way resembles my nineties romper. This romper is chic and sweet and super comfortable to wear! To play up the floral pattern, I decided to pair the romper with a floral crown. This outfit is super girly and super fun! This romper could be paired with a blazer for a more put together look. I vouched for a mint cardigan to play around with the pastel colors.
Although, I love my romper. There are some drawbacks. It's a romper. And you know what that means ladies. You have to take the whole thing off to go to the bathroom. It's a bit of a pain. But I think the comfortableness of the romper and the beautiful pattern of the romper makes up for it. And it's not that bad. Trust me, it's not as bad as those cute heels you have in the back of your closet that are too painful to wear but too cute to leave in the store. Yeah, you know what I'm talking about.
Well, that's it for this post. I hope you guys are enjoying the beautiful weather. And I will talk to you guys soon! So, what is your favorite summer piece? Comment below! And have an awesome day!
