Project Pan Summer 2015 Introduction

So, after watching a few infullattire's videos and reading a few posts from The Project Pan Gal, I knew that I seriously needed to get through some of my makeup and skincare products.  Don't get me wrong, some of these items are holy grail items and some of them are just stuff I bought and never used up.  But all these half empty bottles and deluxe sample sizes are just taking up room and they need to go away.  So, without further a do...

Here we go. (The list is long, so brace yourselves.)

Bobbi Brown skin foundation- I have tried quite a few foundations and this one is one of my favorites for lighter coverage days.  My skin looks dewey and this foundation never looks cakey or wear off in patches.  The only problem I have with this foundation is that it sometimes look streaky when I use my brush to stipple it in to my skin.  I just bought the Beauty Blender with my Sephora Love Note, so hopefully this will make my skin look healthy and airbrushed!
This was my first bottle of high-end foundations and I loved it.  I believe this bottle is two years old now and still half full.  I really need to finish using it up...

Trader Joe's Antioxidant serum- I can't say that this serum has done much for my skin.  It feels kind of like the texture of Smashbox's photofinish primer.  It leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth but does nothing for hyper-pigmentation or uneven skin tone.  I use this primer every morning and every night, so I'm close to finishing the bottle.  I think I have about another month and a half of product left.

The ELF makeup mist and set- I have to say that I had high hopes for this, but it doesn't do much for my makeup.   Right now, I use it to wet my brush for eyeshadow application.  Wetting your brush helps bring out the pigment in eyeshadows and really makes the eyeshadows creamy and easier to blend.  I always thought my eyeshadows looked a little powdery.  But this mist fixes everything.  It doesn't really prevent my eye shadow from creasing so I still have to use my urban decay eyeshadow primer.

So...kiss me perfume- I bought this when I was little.  I was obsessed with this perfume in high school, but then I stopped using it after a month.  I've been trying to put a little on everyday, and I have managed to use up half the bottle.  It shouldn't be too hard to use the rest of it, right?

Instanatural Retinol Moisturizer- This moisturizer is light and great for my hands because it dries so quickly.  I can apply a dab of this moisturizer to my dry hands and within minutes I can type on my computer and look through my phone without feeling sticky and without leaving that awkward oily residue that never comes off glass surfaces.  I am half way through the bottle and trying very hard to finish it because I just bought Soap and Glory's hand food from Sephora and I really want to try it, but I won't let myself open the bottle till I am done with Instanatural.

Studio Gear CC cream- I love this CC cream.  It has been my holy grail summer essential for two summers now.  But this bottle is getting old and I just need to finish the product up.  I have been using it everyday for the past three months, so I think I only have about another month of product left.  Fingers-crossed, because I need to finish this CC cream before I start using my Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation.

ELF brow kit- I bought this brow kit because I know my brows need some help.  And it was only three dollars at Target.  What better way to let myself learn how to draw brows without wasting a ton of money on wasted product when I screw up?  Anyway, this product is surprisingly good for the price you pay.  The product stays on my brows pretty well.  It stays on all day when I apply my Anastasia brow gel on top of it!  And it's pretty easy to draw in my brows and blend out the lines with my brush and Etude house pencil.
However, it's also pretty easy to get too much product on your brush and accidentally draw very harsh lines.  Don't worry.  A little makeup remover and light dabbing motions will fade out the lines really quickly, so you can start over again.  (You have no idea how many times I have done this...it's early in the morning alright.  Alright, alright it might have been early afternoon)
I had a 20% off platinum member coupon a few weeks ago and I used it to purchase the famous Anastasia brow wiz.  And I really want to use it.  But I know that once I open that package, I will never reach for this ELF brow kit again.  So, I must finish it.

Soft Lips Cube- I have used this cube all winter.  And it's almost gone.  Except for that surprisingly large amount of product left at the bottom of the cube that I have to dig out with my fingers.  I will not waste any of it!  I will use every little bit of this lip balm because I rarely ever finish a lip balm before losing it.

ELF Luscious lipstick- So, I fell totally in love with this product fifteen minutes after buying it.  And used it maybe for a week or two before sticking it in my stash and never touching it again.  Do you do this too?  Well combined with my soft lips cube, I seriously have the softest lips ever right now.

Tarte inner rim liner- I totally thought that I NEEDED this.  I searched every store in the world for an inner rim liner.  And when I found one I was ecstatic.  I was like a pirate that finally found his lost treasure.  And after all that searching I maybe used it for a week, maybe a month?  That was probably stretching it.  Anyway, I am determined to finish it because I just saw Jenn Im from ClothesEncounters use a NYX jumbo pencil in Yogurt that looks amazing!  And I need it!  I know I said that about this liner too, but seriously I need that NYX pencil.

Makeup Forever HD Lipstick sample- So, I got this last year for my Sephora birthday gift.  It's a pretty sheer color and the formula is really good.  It never dries out my lips.  And I never actually wear this lipstick.  But I am determined to finish it because what happens to many of my lipsticks is that I:
A) lose it
B) never use it and eventually throw it away because its gross and old

Bobbi Brown Lash Glamour Extreme Lengthening Mascara- I got this mascara as a sample when I bought my BB skin foundation.  So, it's pretty old and I have to use it.  This formula is pretty good.  It generally doesn't smudge.  It sometimes smudges when I yawn a lot or when its pollen season.  When I yawn, my eyes water and people always think I'm crying but I'm not.  I'm just tired, okay? I'm FINE!  Anyway...

Tarte smooth operator loose powder- I got this as a sample to a TARTE set I bought that was exclusive to ULTA.  I love their smooth operator powder but I hate this loose powder business.  It seriously gets everywhere!  But this powder is so good.  It's really fine so it never looks cakey and it takes away that gross shine without leaving you completely matte.  You still have a slight dewiness to your skin, which looks amazing, by the way.

By the end of the summer, I hope to use up all of these products.  Let's get started, shall we?
