Top 10 US Drugstore Makeup Products

Don't get me wrong.  I love high-end makeup products.  BUT it can get really expensive.  As a recent college graduate, I try to save money wherever I can.  So, here's a list of my top 5 makeup products from the drugstore:

1. Covergirl Supersizer Waterproof Mascara
Drugstore mascaras are amazing and seriously deserve more recognition.  My current favorite is the Covergirl Supersizer Mascara in waterproof.  I loved the regular Covergirl Supersizer mascara formula but after a full day of work, my mascara will start flaking.  So, I decided to try out the waterproof version and it was amazing.  This stuff does not budge and my lashes look fabulous!  Plus, the waterproof version can really hold a curl.

2. Covergirl Intensify Me Liquid Liner
I completely suck at eye liner.  I cannot draw a straight line to save my life.  But the Covergirl Intensify Me Liquid liner has a angled tip that makes it super easy for me to draw that perfect cat eye. I used to use the Ulta liquid liner in Onyx, but that liner flakes off after just a few hours of wear.  While my covergirl liner never smudged or flaked off.

3. Pacifica Beauty Eyeshadows
These eye shadows are so smooth!  Pacifica Beauty Eyeshadows also blend like a dream.  Their makeup products are also cruelty free and vegan!  These shadows also have great pigmentation! For $20 a palette, I can't get enough of them!

4. Pacifica Beauty Coco Pure Makeup Removing Wipes
I know I should take the time to cleanse me face with a good cleansing balm or oil, but after a full day of work, I just don't feel up to it.  These makeup wipes from Pacifica Beauty smell amazing!  It's like a tropical vacation in every package.  These wipes don't irritate my skin or my eyes and it removes it all, including that stubborn waterproof mascara!

5. NYX jumbo eye pencils
Ever since I saw Jenn Im from Clothesencounters use the NYX jumbo eye pencil in Yogurt, I knew I had to get it.  I was super impressed with the product.  Right not, Ulta is having a buy one get one 50% off sale!  These eye pencils apply really smooth and have great color payoff!  Plus, it's only $5! I have these pencils in yogurt and milk!

6. NYX soft matte lip creams
I have wanted to buy the soft matte lip cream in Copenhagen for almost a year now, but every time I go to Ulta it's sold out.  I love the soft matte lip creams because they aren't as drying as other matte lipsticks I have tried.  And they have great staying power.  It's honestly like a lip stain.  I love them!  I have the colors: Prague, Tokyo, and Sydney.

7. Rimmel London Eye Makeup Remover
I used this makeup remover every night until I ran out of cotton pads.  I have tried other eye makeup removers before, but they always seemed to irritate my eyes.  This makeup remover by Rimmel London is gentle and super effective against waterproof mascara.  Two swipes of this stuff over my eyes and all the makeup is gone!

8. Rimmel London Matte foundation
I have combination skin.  It gets super oily, especially in the summer months. So, I am always looking for a matte finish foundation that won't break apart.  The problem I have with many matte finish foundations is that they seem to break apart around my t-zone, making me look splotchy and flaky (which is not a good look).  As I was browsing the makeup aisles in Target, I saw this matte foundation on sale for $4.50.  I thought, "why not?" and picked it up.  I tried it the next day and fell in love.  My face still needed to be blotted after four hours of wear, but the foundation did not break apart.  Just a few blots with my clean and clear blotting sheet and my face looked just as good as it did that morning.

9. Rimmel London Scandal Eyes Eyeshadow Stick
This Rimmel London Scandal Eyes Eyeshadow stick is just as creamy and smooth as the NYX jumbo eye pencil.  What I like about this eyeshadow stick is the size.  This Rimmel London Eyeshadow stick has a finer tip and really lets me highlight those inner corners and create a subtle smoky eyeliner look.

10. NYX butter lip balm
I am a sucker for Ulta's BOGO 50% off sales.  My lips get super chapped in the winter and when I go to class, I'm usually not wearing any makeup.  I like to brighten up my face by highlighting the inner corners of my eyes and add a little color to my lips.  But most of my lipsticks were way too drying to apply in the winter.  I went in to Ulta to find a tinted lip balm and when I saw that they had a huge BOGO 50% off sale with NYX products.  And I knew I had to BUY IT ALL!   I bought another matte lip cream (which I probably didn't need) and a butter lip balm (which is what I went in to buy) and a few other eyeshadow sticks and blotting sheets and the list goes on...
