For foundation and concealer color references:
- I am in the color Natural 4 for Bobbi Brown's Skin foundation.
- Tarte Amazonian Clay Foundation Light Medium Sand
- NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer Medium Custard
- Light/Medium in most BB and CC creams
1. Rimmel London Wake me Up Foundation and Concealer
In Canada, I bought the Rimmel London Wake Me Foundation and Concealer in soft beige and very fair. I wanted the concealer to be quite light because I like to use my concealer to brighten up the eyes and as a subtle highlighter on my cheeks and the bridge of my nose. The Rimmel London foundation never looks cakey and feels really light on the skin. I love how easy this foundation blends too! It's a great light to medium coverage foundation.
2. Rimmel London Kate Moss Matte and Satin lipstick
I love the Rimmel London Kate Moss lipsticks. They have a great formula that is super smooth and soft. There lipsticks are also quite hydrating with great color payoff. I would have bought the Kate Moss lipsticks in RVA, but no matter which drugstore I go to, they are always sold out. When I walked in to the drugstore in Montreal, I was in makeup heaven. They had every color in the line and I had a blast testing out the colors. Can you believe they actually let you try out the colors. You never find that in drugstores here.
I have the Matte lipsticks in 107 (a deep burgundy color) and 101 (a bright pink color).
3. Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Foundation and Concealer
For a light foundation, I highly recommend getting the Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Foundation. The Serum in this foundation does make it dry really quick, so work quickly. Don't take your time dabbing on the foundation and waiting to blend.
I never had a problem with this foundation breaking up on me or getting cakey. This foundation also gives the skin a nice glow, similar to the Rimmel London Wake Me Up foundation. My skin never feels stripped or dry when I remove my foundation at the end of the day. This serum doesn't dry out my skin or cause breakouts. I honestly feel like the serum in this foundation is actually healing my skin, leaving it more even-toned and more radiant. I bought this foundation and concealer in light beige and apricot.
4. Soap and Glory Scrub Your Nose In It Detox Scrub
The clogged pores around my t-zone are the hardest things to get rid of. I am super oily around my t-zone, so they are constantly getting clogged. I love Biore pore strips but if I use that too often, my nose starts peeling. The Soap and Glory Detox Scrub leaves my skin feeling clean. When I apply the scrub to my nose, my face starts feeling tingly. After scrubbing for two minutes, my pores are clean and my skin feels cool. I love it!
Sometimes, when my nose feels super clogged, I scrub my nose with the detox scrub to loosen up the pores. Then, I apply a pore strip after I wash off the scrub. This two step system really cleans out my pores. To prevent my newly cleans pores from clogging up again, I quickly apply a toner and serum all over my face.
5. Soap and Glory Peaches and Clean Cleanser
When I ran out of makeup wipes, I sighed and took a look at my stash of cleansers. The Soap and Glory Peaches and Clean Cleanser caught my eye. I remember Tati from YouTube recommending this cleanser for makeup removal. So, I grabbed the bottle and tried it out. I fell in love. This cleanser smells like Peaches and Cream and instantly dissolves my makeup away, leaving my face feeling clean (and NOT stripped!). After one use, I was in love!
